Hi, Can anyone help? When i bought my octavia 1.9tdi 2002, for some weird reason 2 of the seat belts have big cuts through them.:confused: Can anyone tell me where i can get a passenger front seat belt and a rear passenger side seat belt at a reasonable price and how hard are these things to change i.e can i do it my self . Did u buy the car privately or from a dealer? If a garage, then I would get them to do it for you.....

Also surely cuts in a seatbelt would be an MoT failure - depends on if the car had the cuts in the belt when the MoT was done though.....

Not cheap at around £120 front and £107 rear for new seat belts excluding press buckles.

Just get a Haynes manual.

They give you a step-by-step guide.

Yes you have to be carefull with SEat Belts

They are classed as dangerous cargo as they have little explosions in them

You should be able to fit them yourself and I would say it is a BIG no no to try and fit second hand ones

You could also try the likes of OEM parts or GSF they could have them

I cannot remember IF they are sgared parts as with the MK4 chassis

Get a part number from the dealers , if it starts 1J0 it is shared then try others for prices or 1U0 is Octavia only

You could also try Butts of Bawtry they have quite a few OEM parts at a fraction of the cost from the dealers

Many Thanks for all your help, i have checked my so called warranty and guess what they aren,t covered,

went to my local garage to get a price and he refused to fit second hand ones but got me a great deal for the pair£150 fitted. Thanks again everyone Cheers Richy.
