Felicia Clutch/engine/gearbox not sure? problems

Featured Replies

hi my felicia 1.3 lxi plus has got problem.

when driving in any gear if i press the accelerator pedle down. the car revs alot but doesnt accelarate much.

it was fine the other day. but my wife drove it and she geared down from about 60mph in 5th gear to 2nd by mistake could this have caused the problem.

could it be the clutch slipping?

it is most likely to be the clutch pressure plate slipping.... but it is possible that if it has been forced into a low gear at high speed that is has broken the syncro hub inside the gearbox

sounds like cluch to me. my sis did that with my old polo, so i gave her the car, her problem now:finger:

It sounds a clutch slippery problem. Park your car. Put the gear to 5th. Try to drive. If engine stops immediatly, no problem with the clutch. If engine does not stop even you leave the clutch pedal completely, it means the clutch is slipping.
