Anyone know the part numbers for a sachs clutch for my vrs

Featured Replies

Since it had it remapped its starting to slip when i boot it, but im a bit confused as it only lists 1 clutch on their sachs web site and im not sure if this is standard or up rated and it doesnt list it as a vrs only 1.9 diesel. What do you chaps advise or am i looking in the wrong place as i want to pop a clutch in it before it damages the flywheel

Regards

You will need to search under the VW Golf IV 1.9 TDI, IIRC.

There used to be a Sachs sports clutch website listing 2 types - Organic & sintered clutches. Not sure if that site exists anymore.

iirc they dont do an aftermarket kit for the vrs model, strange tho, considering they make the genuine one

Jabba do both the sintered and organic clutches for the VRS

If only more people could have signed up for the Group Buy that was going on, then we would have had them with discount!

Anyway, I've found myself an uprated clutch that will handle more torque & is cheaper than the Sachs items.

883082 999753

881864 999980

They are the part numbers

Same as the Ibiza

So im a bit unsure as to why people on the forum recommend a sachs clutch as a replacement as i assumed it was uprated and able to take the power as obviously the orginal isnt.

So now im asking what clutch do you fit at jabba and awesome to cope with the extra power. Im looking to buy only and fit myself.

The national autopart no is nck1229 for the vrs fabia.

National make the clutches for both Black Diamond, Ferodo, EBC clutches both std and upgrade.

The std clutch (new) sells for about £120 inc vat.

the LUK no is 624305009 £220 or there about (LUK supply vw as OE Factory aswell)

Anyway, I've found myself an uprated clutch that will handle more torque & is cheaper than the Sachs items.

who makes the clutch kit Jon TDI ?

SPEC.

I have had dealings with Spec before , and I am not too sure about them myself

We fitted a few , but out of them 3 , 1 was faulty

So I myself would not be too keen on spending an amount of money on something I was not sure about

Sorry , myself I would go for something tried and tested and I KNOW for a fact that it works

Sarah

Bill Brockbank doesn't seem to have any problems with his Spec Clutch.

And his Ibiza is pushing out some serious power & torque.

I'm not going for the Kevlar type. I'm going for the stage 3 carbon metalic one rated to around 590Nm.

Ive heard about problems wih Sachs clutches aswell.
