The 138bhp deisel sounds like it could be interesting, but as for the rest of the range it looks llike the final product, rather average :thumbdwn:

That's as maybe. You have to admit, Kia have either got a fantastic engineering division, massive cojones or are stupidly over-optimistic and destined to fail gloriously - 7 year warranty on the engine/drivetrain, 5 years on the rest of the car.

Hyundai offer a 5 year warranty, and while they don't really produce cars that set your pants on fire, the Santa Fe and Coupe look good and well screwed together.

You have to ask, if they can do it, why can't a company with serious pedigree, like BMW or VAG?

I agree, but this one was meant to be different - designed for the European market, a real rival for the Focus etc.... is what's been written about it in Auto Express, What Car and others for the past 12 months.

That 7 year warrenty is interesting though... wonder if it covers everything for the whole 7 years?
