Put down the deposit for a 55 plate Octavia VRS last friday and pick it up on this friday if all goes well - can't wait!!!

Test drove it at Lightcliffe Skoda Halifax, good dealer with no pressure tactics, (thanks Bryn), and was just blown away with it.

Good quality and smooth drive impressed at first but acceleration was brisk.

Also test drove a new model 2.0 tdi pd, which had plenty of poke but interior didn't get my juices flowing as much as the vrs, which seemed a less fuss interior in comparison.

Kinda feel thet the old octavia looks rugged and more of a man's car than the new model.

Common sense and economy went to backround thoughts so i plummetted for the VRS.

With four more days to go to pickup i just can't conceal my excitement. Gggrrrnnnggg!!

Couldn't unleash the full potential on the test drive as there were many speed camera's on route and didn't want fall foul of the garage who kindly let me take out the fine motor on my own with my wife.

Need to drive conservatively at first as i might as well rip up my license now otherwise. Lovely power is there if i need it though.

Feel kinda scared of putting my foot down hard!!! Ooooh feelng excited again Pants are goin tight!!

Are there any more VRS owners on here? around stockport area also?

I got a black 55 plate vrs from this same dealership and i cant fault them on there customer care.Im sure you will really enjoy the car although i got 3 points on my license after only 1 week of ownership so be careful!!

I have a red 51 plate and go past Stockport on the M60 daily.

It has had a custom code remap aswell and now really does go like stink. You think it is good now. Wait until JBS have remapped it for you:D

Check out the anti-hijack and ask them to enable it. I used to live in Stockport...
