Fingers crossed all goes well. As a precaution I fitted my PVC front seat covers in case of dirty overalls, removed my McGard lock nuts on the front wheels and replaced with standard nuts. I also had car spotless going in so that I can spot any damage quickly when I pick it up.

Am I a bit anal ????

I don't think I'm too far behind you either... The mk1 is starting to show its age, just before its nct too.

Rack done and noise gone. However steering was off so had to bring it back to get retracked this morning. All appears well now.
