its not sad having a his and hers vrs. my wife and I have been like that for about 6 months now, i have the octi and she has the fabia. Love driving mine but after 5 mins in the fabia wish I had that and not the Octi.

Well, Mrs Shifty picked up her car today..... and I have popped the A8 18" wheels on.

Here are a couple of pics.

(Yes - I know it needs lowering...)

Nice! What width are the tyres are on that? Do they scrub at all? Can you get full lock?

I'm considering choices for alloys at the moment and I'm not sure whether or not to go for 18s.

Doesnt suit the wheels without lowering IMO. Too big and tall

18" go on no messing. had them on my fabia too, 25 mm lowered. Tyres are 215/35/18, no scrubbing etc. Wheels are 8" wide, 7" wide are better if you don't like the stretched tyre look. Full lock no probs, and no scrubbing.

19" fit too....

Did you have yours lowered with the Eibach springs? Is there a visible difference only dropping it an inch? I'd like to lower my car but I don't want to spend loads on coilovers. Equally I don't really want to spend

It looks well Dave, just get the Eibachs on and sorted...

Eibach springs make all the difference, not slammed, but look very good. I had 18s on mine with Eibachs... looked spot on.
