furby vRS Mud flaps

Featured Replies

are these available? looking for front and rear ones. are they just the normal fabia ones or is the vRS different?

cheers

Front mudflaps are the std Fabia mudflaps and take two minutes to fit, the rear has a different shape bumper (more of an extension) so you may not be available.

Last I heard, only the fronts were available. May be worth double checking with a dealer first though!

Might consider getting mudflaps on the Fabia. That rear screen gets awfully dirty without them!

Have you managed to fit them to your fabia, only my dealer told me that standard front fabia flaps wouldn't fit the vrs. I hope they do, as they offer the sills alot of protection from stone chips.

I took them straight off my old fabia and onto the vRS. Your dealer is a plonker as they fit on the other side of the wheelarch to the bumper, which is the same as any other fabia. All you need is a torx screwdriver/ socket set to undo two screws and then to fit the mudflaps and replace the screws, its a 5 minute job

Yes, standard fronts fit no problem. But the rears are special order to suit the rear bumper, I was quoted

that seems incredible for two mud flaps! front only then!

I can't see a mud flap being that expensive. When my Dad's Octy shed a modflap at 2 weeks old (we don't know where it went!) he got a new one fitted free.....

i emailed skoda to ask about mud flaps & they sent the following reply:-

Thank you for your email. I can confirm, however, that due to the lowered sports suspension on the Fabia vRS it is not possible to fit mud flaps to the vehicle.

i cant see how suspension could effect the mudflaps

My dealer wouldn't fit them at all, fronts/rears. Fronts IMHO should be fitted by the dealer on request as they are 100% as per normal with regards fitting.

Rears as already mentioned, needs a bit of plastic cutting off, just following down the shape of the car. Then it fits, although one of the self-tappers is a b*st*rd to get going and IMHO it's worth replacing with a slightly longer one for the vRS.

If the car isn't lowered and on the standard wheels, you can fit all this without taking the wheels off. It's a pain though and it's easier to take of the wheel to gain good access. Lowered you have zero chance of doing this without the wheels off.

Not too difficult to do, just get the right tools & do it yourself on a nice day, you want a bit of good light but with some patience to get the rear flap to follow the shape of the car it will get there in the end :D
