Thats a very good deal.... but I think you have the advantage of age on your side

Could I ask whcih company you use? My policy runs out next month.

Cheers.

I know someone who is driving a modifed Skoda without telling their insurer - they couldnt even get a quote on a modified car

I am with Privilege. I was quite surprised that they even insured me as they are not normally an insurance company that advertised themselves as specialising in modified cars. My other option was Adrian Flux who had quoted me

try getting yourself a northern irish postcode, age 26, 8 yrs protected ncb and clean licence

this time round 28 6 years protected ncb £390.00 including basic breakdown cover! and it is with one of the big boys

existing company £575 for cover

so I was pleased

Iain!

Stockport!

£390!

I'm 37, park on the street with a remap and I'm on £545!

Who's your insurer?

Thats good top no as im with Privilage and need to declare some mods!

As mentioned earlier in this thread, they don't specialise in modded vehicles, so you may have to spell some of your mods! The poor guy hadn't heard of most of my mods. I even had to spell samco and explain what a Turbo Intake Pipe was. Primarily, they are interested in power increases. All I know is that my Insurance Schedule now lists all the mods I have, so i am happy enough with that, even if they don't know what half of them do. Job done IMO :handshke:

Woah I am at £800 notes with Flux on just a remap BUT with an Oldham Postcode which probably doesn't help!!! Renewal in March so I will be making alot of phone calls.

SO is it also replacing like for like?

Hmm, £230 fully comp on mine.

1.6 engine and im an old git (30)

this time round 28 6 years protected ncb
I am in stockport, 37, 6 Y protected NCB with Chris Knott ....Best part of £900:eek: no Mods...Yet!!!!! WHO ARE YOU WITH, need to sort this, when I rang round last year some Ic companies would not even quote for some SK postcodes:eek:

Dave

I got a very good quote from Adrian Flux (Red Star) and paying £465 protected NCB,breakdown cover, etc with wife on policy.

Tried Chris Knott, but they don't insure any SK postcodes.

This is all mods declared including a remap i haven't even got yet!

Another vote for Adrian Flux (Red Star) which also replaces mods like for like

Chris

Flux for me is expensive at £800. I wonder if it is the Oldham postcode and the unlimited mileage on the poilcy which I have due to 25K + miles a year

Flux for me is expensive at

41 year old (git) with full NCB, and standard '51 Octy vrs..just changing to Chris Knott (Highway motor policies at Lloyds) as they've quoted
