Hi all. Am considering ordering an Octavia Vrs, and just wondered what the likely factory build delivery times currently are. Anyone order recently able to confirm?

I agreed to buy a vRS TDI hatch with a few options earlier this week and was told to expect 8 - 10 weeks to delivery.

My dealer this morning confirmed that they have placed the order and I should get confirmation of a delivery date in a few days.

I'll let you know, when I know.

That's interesting - my vRS TDI was ordered by Leaseplan during the first week of December. I was quoted 8 - 12 weeks but when I emailed the other day to see if they had a delivery date they were saying around 23rd March, which will be closer to 15 weeks!

I had a stupidly long delivery time on my (Leaseplan) Octavia estate, I had some goodies put on it (see sig.) so it took longer than normal.

I think it was 15 weeks in the end including a "technical problem" The origin of which I never discovered.

The original quote was 8-10 weeks but any wait is well worth it!

Seems that I should expect 12+ weeks then?

That is going to be one long difficult wait!

On the other hand you could see what's floating around at the dealers/docks and probably get something in a week or so. My understanding is that most dealers order stuff in that they know people will want eg silver paint, 18" wheels, dual climate in the knowledge they'll be able to find a buyer.

I ordered my car from a broker, I wanted Corrida red with no options, the next day he called to say a car to that spec was at the docks...the car was mine about a week later.

My order estimate for a 'spec' Vrs Tdi was around 8-10 weeks from Sparshatts in Hampshire and after 6 weeks, i had the call that the car was arriving that week and to come in after pdi was complete to take delivery. All-in-all no more than 7 weeks and was completely satisfied with the dealer & salesman.... )

"At present we are looking at mid March but this can easily change. We wont

have a more accurate date until 2 - 3 weeks prior to this but as soon as I have a

confirmed delivery date ......"

If mid March is taken as Friday 16th, this will be six weeks from order; even allowing for plus two weeks as a fudge factor I won't be complaining.

I'll just have to wait and see.

Ahhh that says it then. I was told that my car would be ready for March and would be a 2007 plate. I always thought the plates changed in April, and was confused. Me daft or what:rofl:

I've been told today my car is being built 'next week' and to expect delivery 2-3 weeks later. I'm on schedule!

I ordered my VRS tdi170 and it was delivered within 3 weeks..

Mine was (hopefully) built this week. Only a few left then!!!!!

I've just been told this week (been waiting since the first week in Feb) that mine will be the last week in March and they asked me if I want it staight away or tax it in the first week in April so's I get 3 more weeks tax.

Mine was ordered 06 Jan 07, popped in to the dealers last week with some paperwork and advised "It has left the factory (in Germany :confused:). And I should be getting it around the first week of March." I'm personally expecting around the end of the first FULL week in March which will make it the 9th.

I'M GOING CRAZY WAITING FOR IT :orb_bonk:

Mine is a petrol so that may make a slight difference. As has been said, if the car is in the UK or built just on the docks unallocated, the turn around is about a week.
