Never heard they made a Fav L&K,Felicia was the first modern Skud to re-use the name.Always wanted an estate version but they never stay on ebay for the full auction, you were lucky a dealer had one.Good choice

There was a p-plate felicia l&k estate on e-bay last week with only 67k on the clock and looked fab but it never made its reserve! bidding only went up to

I didnt know they did a Favorit version either.

Well, this is on an N, with 60500 on the clock.

Just found it through auto trader, so went down to see it and got it that day.

I love it, is a cracking car, theres just a few little things with it, i.e. temperature guage and rev counter not working.

Still trying to find out whether its the dials themselves that are broken or sensors/wiring.

Does anyone know if i would be able to change jus those two things on the dash, or would i need a whole new unit?

Thanks

I think the Felicia dash is similar to the favorit as in you can seperate the clocks,i could be wrong as i have not managed to be as lucky as you and get an L&K :(

Wil hav to get my haynes out, take everything off, and have a look at the clocks and see.

The temperature sensor seems to work fine, because if i unplug it with the engine running, the revs drop, then pick up again when i plug it back in, which indicates that when its unplugged the ecu is falling back to default settings or something, rather using info about the engine temp.

Thanks for your help

p.s. Just looked on ebay, and found a rev counter for my car, its just the counter on its own, nothing else, so you obviously can seperate them out.

Also found out that it could also be the voltage regulator that is built into the clocks, as this supplies both the temperature guage and the rev counter.

No it wasnt that one.

Was a guy who ran a van rental and furniture shop down in burnley and had taken it as part-ex.

Only two previous owners, last one being an elderly gentleman who only clocked up 9,000 in the 7 years he owned it. lol

Is in mint condition apart from a small bit of rust on the bottom sill, by the front wheel (bottom of the wheel arch), and a scratch on the front wing.

But apart from that, is on fab condition.

Feel ive got a real bargain.

Still desperately trying to sort this rev counter and temperature guage problem out.

Thanks for looking.

Sorry, but I was on about the estate L&K on eBay that tefal1 mentioned . . .

Will agree though that yours is SWEET. I was gutted when that estate went.

lol. i see. u will just have to keep your eyes peeled for any others that come up.

Was that the one where the guy said he has 6 cars and he was selling it because his wife wouldn't drive it because of the Skoda badge? Yeah it was a good looking estate version, apparently they only made 200 l&k models 100 hatches 100 estates so bound to be as rare as hens teeth now! wonder how many are still on the road today?

I actually sat in the one at the British Motorshow in the year it was released , it was way out of my price range though , IIRC around

Havent seen one in the flesh cant seem to find much written about them either there must be a roadtest somewhere.

would be good to clean it all up and take it somewhere to be appreciated.

I couldnt find much info on them either and i hadnt realised they were as rare as that.

Lovely looking car and love the spec

Did you say you got her in Burnley? You local to there? I'm fairly local and reckon that paint would come up superbly with some PC work buffer.gif - really bring out those colours hopefully.

Give me a shout if you want to sort something out.

Hi, yeh got it from burnley.

I live up in lancaster so pretty local.

I am being thick or summat, but what does PC work mean? Machine polishing or something? lol

Sorry, thought my little animated guy may have given it away :D

PC = Porter Cable. The 7424 6" Variable-Speed Random-Orbit Polisher to be exact.

Basically allows polishes, glazes, sealants, waxes etc to be applied at a much higher speed than your hand ever could. And in return you get better results. Example below (9yr old Merc).

awesome. thats a pretty deep shine there!

have just ordered a touch-up pen from skoda today, and would like to see about getting an aerosol mixed so i can tackle the bottom of wheel arch, then think something like that would definately be the next step.

thanks
