Washed the car, went out driving by the sea - A few pics

Featured Replies

Well, I gave the car a quick rinse down this morning, and as the sun was shining I thought I'd take my replacement camera out for a little shoot. Tried to get myself as close to the sea as possible. Once I almost had the chance to back into it! Anyway - here's some pics. It's about time some fresh mongrel shots were done to be honest. This is about a dozen of the ones I took, so follow the album link for the rest. :) Things of note: 1) yes, the two offside doors are different colour. No idea why - soon be sorted. ;) 2) Yes my nearside front has been scratched, replacement sourced. ;) 3) That black round thing is my lpg filler. :) 4) The "diesel" and "AV IT!" will not be on by the end of the day. I plan to remove them when I de-tar spot later. :)

Penny quay / slipway. No-one using it for boats so I stuck the mongrel on there. :D

In the village of Shaldon, just over the river from Teignmouth. I found a bugger narrow road by the river's edge. :D

The climb out of Shaldon. Time to stop on the narrow one way bit to snap a shot

What is it you're covering with white blocks?

Nice pics Jase! Didn't you used to have mesh in the front grille, or did I miss that thread? :o:rofl:

ding ding ding - we have a winner. A legally sized front plate too. :)

The mesh is now black, Chris. Has been for some time. Looks a bit more subtle. Actually, it needs touching up as I noticed it's starting to come away from the stainless mesh in places. Nothing a bit of hammerite won't sort. :)

Much to do to the mongrel yet. Eventually, she'll be 100% how I want her. I even spotted some light blue paint chips on the door - Looks like someone dinged me in a car-park. Bovvered? nah - will probably get sprayed over soon anyway.

Nice pics!

But do us a favour Jason & take those silly badges of the boot lid! :thumbdwn:

Actually, they're still there now. It's become an "in the morning" job.

those nice stone faced walls in that norrow road are perfect for 're-conditioning' your alloys.....

nice pics

Were you holding the camera upside down (-:

Good pics - shame there was a car in the way !

That grille looks like it's going to devour someone.

Love that one :)

Did you steal that badge from a Merc?

some of those pics are deffo better than what you submitted for the calendar last year ;)

I know. :D I selected crap ones as I didn't really want the mongrel featured in the 07 one - '08 might be a different matter.

Dave - I was doing some camera to ground style shots - but it really struggles to catch the focus on the car and background, and really focuses on the foreground stuff that I was just trying to bring in for effect. It's a cheap digital camera that I got for

Look half decent Jase.

My main dislike is the chrome handle covers - get em sprayed silver to match! ;)

 though, getting there!!

Oh, and raise the back up a tad to match the front too... jmho...

Yeah - it is a little too low. Should have seen it at IOW meet 2007.... Had back seats and two people in the back. was reeeeeeally low. All being well I will get new suspension. Plus I might rip my back seats out again tomorrow which will raise it a bit. :)

Superb mate, have you been round the nurbergring per chance??
