I've got 1.9tdi estate, on a Y plate. Had her since new and now I'm just over 148K miles, and counting! Just had new front discs, but still original clutch & gearbox (not bad for a lady driver!!) and exhaust. Needed new air management at 100.000, but otherwise nothing major.

Starting to get "comfort problems" now, though - air con compressor went in the summer (What summer??? so it's still not fixed!) and now I'm told the climatronic wotsit needs a new control unit ..... it all black, no lights, no air, no hot (or cold!) no nuffink (and the external air temp reading on the dash is just dashes -------:(

100k just done on a remapped vRS and the car is solid as a rock. My Primera GT is on 160k and counting and is solid still on original exhaust, cltuch, alternator etc :D

Ha, I have an Octavia vRS and a Primera GT too! My 05 vRS has 112k and the 97 Primera GT has 135K, both as good as new! Only fault Iv had was the vRS wheel bearing. We have had both cars just over 3 years. I also have a Caterham 7 R300 with over 90K on the clock too, looking after them pays off!

100k is just run in. Yes some things like bushes/cambelt/water pump/clutch will come up, but engine internally will just be loosened up.

I regularly see them 170 - 220k, all driving great. Actually the 170k one did the best mpg I have had so far, 73 taking it steady. Well run in I think.

over 200k is high miliage.

Greg.
