Kerbed Alloys

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've kerbed an alloy...Had a lok at it & I don't think I can fix it. What makes it worse is that I can't blame anyone but me!!..loss of concentration = I'm an idiot

I've had a search, but turned up nothing. Does anyone know of a good alloy wheel repairer in or around Cardiff??...Last resort is getting a new one.

Yours in hopefulness,

Graham

you need to check to see if the wheel is bent or not first.... if it's bent dont bother, although some alloy wheel wheel repairers can starighten them, it's not worth it... just buy a new one, if you are lucky sombody on here may have a spare one kicking around

Depending on the price of a single new alloy it might be worth looking at a new set of after market rims too. Seen 17" Wolfrace Katana's [as an example] for £375 including tyres :|

My local refurber charges £40 a wheel.

Unfortunately, I'm not local to Cardiff!! Try doing a search on google, etc.

Try Renowheel in Bridgend, they're good but can be a bit slow...

Whicked wheels will do it on your drive 0870 3003 224, about 60-70 but no hassle, Ive just had 2 on the Superb done & they were excellent

Beware of cheap replacement alloys, I had a set of Woolfrace Urban racers & I buckled 3 in a year (& replaced them) Then bought Cesams, more money but have ragged the car to death & they are all still straight although all badly damaged on the rims :o :O :o .

If you only need one try the breakers

There's a good body shop on Hedel Road in Canton (near Sanatorium Road) called NFW or something. I had some light damage repaired there for #40 a couple of weeks ago.

I can't find their number but if you call Just MOT's on Cowbridge Road East, they'll have it because the companies are connected. 029 2034 2022.

Thanks for all the replies, examined them some more, no damage to rims, just the faces all scratched to ****...and my pride.

Davey, cheers mate, will give them a ring tomorrow.

Again, thanks to all for taking the time to reply
