Another TDI remap question

Featured Replies

Hey guys/dolls,

Another post about 1.9 TDI remaps. I have a 100bhp version POLO, and I would like to have it remapped. Here are some options, all generic maps I assume :

ChippedUk - TUV approved 123bhp 300nm torque

ChippedUk - Motorsport 131bhp 293nm torque

Jabbasport 137-141bhp 231-240 ft lbs torque

TDI Tuning Box 25bhp

Price difference between the two is

Impossible Performance????? They've currently got a Group Buy going on. I'm about 30 miles from them and live in London too.

I had my PD130 remapped by ChippedUK in Bromsgrove on Friday ... the thing is now a missile!

Very impressed with procedures and the care taken to ensure all worked ok before I tootled off ... my PD130 now has 180hp and an extra 90Nm (wot's that now?) over standard.

Most importantly, the car drives beautifully with none of the flat spots that were so damned irritating ... Recommended.

Have the 90Bhp 1.9Tdi Oct Hatch 04 and fitted a "Plug and Play" direct from Germany TUV approved

No idea about remaps for your engine, but you asked how come REVO theoretical figures come out higher than others. I have no specific axe to grind, or tuner to support. What I'm saying is an attempt at explaining a piece of technology.

All rolling roads read differently, and sometimes apply different roadwheel to flywheel "corrections" to each other. Basically, and presuming REVO are not pushing closer to the limits of what they can do with the car, it will simply be because their rolling road reads higher, or they use more generous roadwheel to flywheel "correction" figures, than anyone else.
