Suzuki Cappuccinos

Featured Replies

Ive always wondered what would a suzuki cappuccino be like?

Are there any owners on here?

700kgs, with a turboed motorbike engine with rwd, it would a great drift car with lsd fitted, larger fmic, and restrictor removed.

Quite fun to drive, but ultimately they are only about 60bhp so not especially fast in real terms, and I'm not convinced it would be that great for drifting.

However, the main thing that put me off is that I just don't think they'd do very well in even a minor crash - and neither would the occupants! Would rather save up the extra and get a Smart Roadster...

My Cousin had one from new, It was quite quirky and nippy, but very small inside and as already said, doesn't inspire much confidence on the road, I would compare it to a smart car, great for nipping about in, but, rubbish for long journeys etc, and I definitely cant see much drifting going on, the turbo is small and spools up quickly but wouldnt have great poor to throw the tail out, also very hard to get parts for should it get damaged, If your looking cheap affordable fun for diffing and fun driving, Id say an early mx-5 would cater or most needs and very cheap to run with good poke available etc, (The Hairdryers opional...;) )

standard 0-60 is 8 seconds, while top speed is 87mph, but that is restricted.

I wouldnt mind having a drive of someones.

Smart roadsters are still a bit expensive for what they are and not that quick either.

About as quick as a Cappucino... :D That said, these type of cars are not necessarily meant to be fast - it's more about being engaging to drive rather than the quickest thing on the road.

Would echo early MX-5/Eunos as worth a look, though as standard they're not especially "hooligan"...

A friends mother had one, his dad was on the motorway one day and a Left hand drive Artic Truck merged into the side of him on a motorway. Must have been just in the blind spot of the front corner of the cab. Spun the car right around in the fast land of the motorway.

Some Panel and othe body work damage. There just after getting it back on the road this week. My mates Girlfriend bought it off his parents and got it fixed up. Its hard to get parts for, especially headlamps IIRC. Nice yoke but a real bone shacker.

My mate has one with a stage 2 conversion. Having driven it before and after, there was definitely an improvement. I think the stage 2 takes the bhp up to 110, which does make a difference. I took it up the road from Cloughton to Ravenscar one day - great test of a car's handling & character - and it was the most fun I've had in ages. It performed well as standard considering the specs, but after about

Agree on price but 122mph isn't that slow

one is !!

If you want a car that's light, powerful and engaging to drive, I think you want to buy my Elise mate! Or a 7.

I love the Cappucino concept, but I think you'll find it's too compromised to waste money and effort trying to sort it out.
