TDI Power

Featured Replies

Through its years there has been quite a few power outputs of this one engine 90,100,110,115,130,150,160bhp does anyone know the most power thats been squeezed from the TDI unit and still be a reliable daily driver?

There is a guy based in portugal running mid to high 200s reliably.

What motor is that powering?

Orig motor was a 110 TDI, trying to find a link to his site.

don't forget the 105bhp in the new golf!

does this engine set the record for the biggest variety of power outputs ever?

quite possibly!!!

was there ever a 120 variant (possibly in the ford galaxy, vw sharan, seat alhambra)

thought they were either 115 or 130, am open to correction tho'!

there were two varients of the 115, (different torque outputs)

i know of two fabias running 218bhp or thereabouts, and pretty sure they are reliable, base unit being the 130pd vRS

I had my old PD160 Ibiza Cupra running 248bhp back in 2005.

Thats some serious money to get a new A3 to that power. Hmmmm 3.0 TDI A4 Quattro money ?
