Audi A8

Featured Replies

I was out in the Landrover this morning and I was following and Audi A8 L 4.2 what does the "L" stand for please. I have never seen any letters after the number.

It went in to Fords Research Centre.

Was it a rare car?

The new Ford Mondeo was pulling out of there at the same time.:cool:

L=long wheelbase version?

what he said :)

Aye I thought it was long wheelbase as well.

similar to the BMW 740iL and 750iL

L standing for limousine (sp?who cares!) due to the extra legroom provided in the rear compartment

L for Lang (long) rather than Limousine I hope (unless they have a full height divider behind the front seats they're not limousines by definition).

Thank you everybody I suppose it is quite obvious when you think about it. It was a very big car.:eek:
