Has anyone done this before?

My wifes 12 yr old micra appears to have a knackered joint and i was thinking of having a go at it myself, well with the help of my dad anyway:thumbup:

It is the outer joint i am refering to.

don't try it unless you have all the right tools

jack , axle stand , selection of sockets and spanners , long knuckle/breaker bar , large socket to undo the hub nut , brass/copper hammer to knock rusted in joint from hub , possibly required are special pliers for opening up the clip holding the joint to the drive shaft or it may just knock off with the hammer , special pliers for clamping up the clips that hold the C.V. gaitor on

Between myself and my old man we have got pretty much all of that stuff. I will be pricing up a cv joint in the week and attempting it next weekend i think.
