Which Would You Prefer?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys and the odd Girls

The vRS brand in the Skoda range-I read somewhere that Ford took Skoda to court because they were not impressed with Skoda using the RS monica on their cars.

I think I am right in saying this that the courts were in favour with Skoda because they used the RS monica before Ford even created anything along the lines of RS. (Hope you are following me?)

Anyhow if Skoda decided to use the RS monica instead of the vRS who would be pleased?

Basically I am asking whether you prefer vRS or RS?

Answers pls

vRS

vRS - makes it a bit more interesting somehow, and it somehow seems more unique to the Skoda brand :)

Hi odd Girls

Boy are you opening yourself open to some aggro:rofl:

vRS by the way:thumbup:

Quite a lot of the motoring press still refer to it as RS. I would've said RS but now i've had mine for a little while i'm used to vRS and as WW_VRS said, it's unique to Skoda. If they changed now people would accuse Skoda of copying ford, even though we know it's the other way around.

vRS, anything that sticks two fingers up at ford cant be a bad thing :D

I was under the impression that it's only referred to as the vRS in the UK due to the Court victory over Ford.....

V for Victory...... Apparently.....

Around the rest of europe the car is just marketed as the RS.

I'm sure there was a topic on it somewhere in the darkest past.......

My choice is vRS by the way.

Cheers

Dave.

You mean RSVP?

RS personally. It's bold and to the point. vRS sounds a bit cheap and naff and always reminds me a bit like one of those badges you used to get on the back of Proton's in the 80's. The small v looks a bit stupid on the badge too.

Mine is, always has been, and always will be an RS.

In written form, I'm ambivalent - both will do. In fact, I think vRS looks quite good.

But spoken, it is most definitely RS. vRS just sounds crap.
