Couldn't buy a New Fabia vRS!!

Featured Replies

So I had to settle for an the demo.

Good afternoon peeps. I was a bit slow on realising what a terrific car the fabia vRS was & by the time I got myself to the dealers I couln't get a new one!

Still I got a very good deal on the ex-demo car.

I suppose i could have waited for the special edition end of line car but I'm not a great fan of whistles and bells on cars for the sake of it, so a nice stock silver one will be sitting on my drive in a couple of days.

Hope I will be able to contribute to this forum, and the threads I have seen so far have been very interesting.

Cheers Gary:thumbup:

Welcome to Briskoda :)

Dave.

Hello and welcome to Briskoda.

At least you don't have a long wait for delivery of your new motor

Welcome to Briskoda, Ex demo's rule:thumbup:

Ex-demos do tend to be nicely 'trashed' in ;)

Doesnt appear to harm them TBH :D

Hello & welcome

welcome, enjoy your new car.

Welcome to Briskoda :)

M25/M3 area, I am sure there are plenty of meets we can persuade you to go to :D

Nice car, mine's silver too.

Enjoy the site :)

Thanks for the warm welcome.

Starting to get used to the car, like not braking so hard and being a bit smoother with the clutch.

I'm even getting used to the steering. Although I must admit, I do think it's a bit lifeless. Is there anyway of making it give a bit more feedback? Are the origional fit tyre a bit to blame?

I am a bit spoilt as a few years ago I had a Clio Williams and I know it's not going to be that good but would welcome any experience you guys would like to divulge.

Cheers

Gary

The Clio Williams is French - of course the Fabia is as good!! :P

Good choice :) Silver too, the best colour. Welcome to the site.

Steering - tyres - are they the Continentals?

Thanks for the welcome Guys and gals.

I've learnt that it's best not to feed the car into bends but to load the suspension up by throwing it in late. But that does make it a bit interesting if it's a bit slippery. I promised myself that I'd leave it basically STD but I'm already getting itchy to mess with the supension and get the engine mapped....

See you soon

Welcome :D

You don't wanna do that! If you want the car to be a bit more behaved under cornering, invest in a Jabba rear ARB! :D

 Dont do it! Leave it the way Skoda intended - boring! Im only joking, I was just a bit p!ssed off about how much I blew on modding :o

Have you got a boat I can jump in? :( I was gutted on how much I spent aswell. Never blame yourself though, blame your mates.

I wouldbnt go as far as 'dead easy' for the average person. :)

Anything that involves putting rear of car on axle stands and undoing the dampers is quite a major deal for me on my driveway!

One bolt to undo at each side. It is 'dead easy' nothing to go wrong.

See the guide above: Fabia-vrs.com - Jabbasport Rear Anti Roll Bar

Gary, if you ever venture out as far as Reading or Basingstoke, drop me a PM if you want to feel what a modded fabia is like.

Even better, we have a track day at Hullavington on 1st June (Friday). Several people will be going - I will. Even if you don't want to take your car on track, you can experience some passenger rides :)

Oh and welcome btw :P
