Octavia Comfort Wagon rear speakers

Featured Replies

Has anyone had the rear speakers in their Octy wagon stop working? Now I must admit after reading a few posts here I began to wonder if I even had speakers in the rear, but I could swear at one time there was sound coming from behind me. As of now, I get nothing.

The car in question:

2002 Octavia Combi (Wagon)

Model: Comfort

Eng: 1.6L

HU: Symphony CD

Tomorrow I'll dig around to verify I have speakers back there. If not, how difficult is it to wire a set in?

Thanks!

I'd not swear to there being rear speakers in the Elegance wagon mate.

Well, I checked it out today and sure enough... Open spaces where the speakers could go behind the rear seats. Not that I've checked the car, I guess I need to have my head checked for thinking there was ever anything back there.

On a side note, does anyone have an idea on what size they would be? It's a small oval opening and I haven't a clue what might go in there. I think I can handle the wiring without an issue, but the speakers....

My Elegance estate has rear speakers (Combi/Wagon is the estate, isn't it?) The standard rear speakers in the Estate are 4"x6" - I replaced the OEM with Kenwood KFC-4625C's

When I said I'd not swear to there being rear speakers I meant I wasn't actively aware of sound from the back, although I've got stuff that makes the left-right channels very obvious (vocals on one channel and single acoustic on the other).
