Im getting a dash kit to liven up my Fabia Saloon, It pretty much does everything, from door handle inserts to transmission surrounds they do it!

All i have to do is order it over the net and have it delivered. One problem though, I cant descide on colour!

The body is in Dynamic Blue, the one most Fabia Saloons are apparantley. The interiour is the Stick men style one with chinese looking hats that also used to debut on the Felicia. I wanted the brushed alluminium effect, to match the tranny box, ie where P,R,N,D e.t.c are is silver allready. Should I go for dark wood, Light wood or Silver, they are all the same price, what do you guys think is best?

A Superb... :D

It'll keep me satisfied until I find a good used deal! Come on, what colour?

Got a link to the supplier so we can "cast a critical eye" over it before making a judgement?

Yes they are based in Arizona but they do RHD aswell!

Click view your car to see the panels they give, they even do real wood but expensive!

Synthetic light Burlwood for me.

Synthetic light Burlwood for me.

Thats what my mates at work say, personaly Ive ruled out the dark now, so it's just between wood and silver, the latter keeps growing on me!

Sorry...what colour is your interior?

Silver is cold and "classless", in that its just a fashion thing.

Plus depending on its actual finish, fingerprints could be a problem.

Light wood still does it for me, and although it will be in "just" a Fabia, at least it should exude a certain oppulence.

Plane Jane Fabia Grey! The stick men upholstry is also grey!

If it were a Silver car (I had a felly silver with wood dash) black or white then I would go for wood right away, but in a blue car with a Grey interiour, i thought silver would bring excitement in to the Bland interiour but im still torn between wood, it'd look less tacky than silver, but silver is nice.... More help please!

Your right about finger prints but it's laminate though, whereas the tranny case is real metal and looks like its had grease sloshed over it, and that's after a polish!

So is it a final on the light burlwood guys

Going to agree with Andy on this the....the light wood colour.

My thinking behind this is that even though I like the dark wood I think it would be too much of a contrast....the red wood or what I thinks looks like zebrenno wood just looks tacky (even when it's in Mercs or Audis).

Silver again I think would be too much of a contrast. I think the carbon would go quite well but I do think it matches the character of your car.....unless you've got 17'' alloys and a rear wing. ;)

Or a fast car!

Ok I'll go for wood!

p.s has anyone had any experiences with a locking passenger leccy window buttin, when I bough car the little piece of plastic that shows a window (lights up green at night) was smashed out, but now it's completley jammed, only opens!

Synthetic light Burlwood here also, is nearly identical to the kit in my octy...

Mine was an official Skoda kit, do they not do one for the Fabia?

Mine came with the car, would not have done it myself but every other Octavia I sit in always seems "bland" in comparison.

Skoda do a Fabia wood trim, but $140 is only 70 quid, wheras Skoda's prices, once you condier fitting charge will go up into triple figures. Also these people in Arizona have a variety of colours and styles to choose from, though I have chosen ligh burlwood. As 4 ur comment about other octy's seeming bland w/o wood, I used to feel that way when getting into other people felly's, I think wood and other updated to the facia makes a hell of a difference, for a large sum of money though!

but every other Octavia I sit in always seems "bland" in comparison.

I need to introduce you to my L&K, Ian! :D :D

Does it have a picture of hong kong Phewey on the dashboard, if so has anyone ever urinated on your car?

Halfords sell these kits too in other colours, should not be too expensive. They do look naff in fake wood effect though.
