vRS standard wheel size? And...

Featured Replies

After using the search, am I correct in thinking that the Fabia vRS has 6.5" x 16" wheels ET43?

If that's the case, then fitting a set of Mk3 Golf Anniversary BBS RXII wheels should be possible...they are 7" x 16" ET43.

Can anyone confirm?

I run 10mm hubcentric spacers on my Golf...with no ill handling or wheel bearing issues...

Would 7" wide ET43 wheels fit the Fabia vRS with 10mm spacers all round, if using the standard 205/45/16 tyres?

What about 15mm spacers?

Hopefully somebody will have the answers...

Thanks in advance...

if they're 7" wide , I'd go for 215/40/16's........ cheaper, wider, and near enough the same RR....

I was planning on using the original tyres...

215/40/16s is what the Golf runs and they are noticably lower geared...and I think the lower profile may make the vRS look (even more) like it's on stilts.

Can anybody confirm the offset etc of the standard vRS wheels?

Any thoughts about spacers?

Cheers...

Anybody?

Standard vRS wheel offset?

Cant comment on offset but can comment on the tyres profiles. I'd stick with 205/45's/ I found the 215/40 to be geared about 5mph lower that speedo indicated speed. Also the ride suffers. But they are cheaper. You decide.

Offest on 16" vRS alloys are ET37.

I would stick with 205s to be honest.

I have the 215/40/16s on my Golf and whilst the outright grip is higher than on slightly narrower tyres, it's not as nice to drive.

Currently I'm running 195/45/16 winter tyres and you can slide it about and have way more fun than on the 215s...the steering feels better, less heavy, sharper turn-in....at the expence of outright grip.

I think I'd stick to 205s on a vRS.

Thanks for that.

Looks like I'd need at least 6mm spacers on my BBS to make them sit anywhere close (ET43)...and to get hubcentric, thay'd have to be 10mm.

So...

Anyone using 10mm spacers on a vRS with standard wheels?

Any rubbing issues?
