Rolldown problems with Alientech.

Featured Replies

Having successfully fitted my Alientech controller I am having problems getting the rolldown feature to work (which I'm not a fan of since this was the only reason I purchased it). I've been through the test procedure to test that each wire is correctly connected and all seems fine. I have tried leaving a slight pause between each press of the unlock button but it only works occasionally. I seem to have the hang of the rollup feature. Is this a problem anyone else has had?

From reading the instructions it suggests that a delay is left between each press of the button to ensure that the drivers door is unlocked three times, if you press the buttons too fast then it unlocks the drivers on the first press and then ONLY the other three and boot on the second meaning that by the time you have pressed the button three times, the Alientech controller has only sensed two unlocks. IF this is the case then I think the trouble I am having is unlocking the car three times within 3 seconds, whilst leaving a delay between each press.

Sorry if I'm rambling garbage :(

I've pretty-much mastered it now... It's just a case of getting the timing right.

I did make a fool of myself though! Having pulled up to get fuel, I got out and left the front windows down. After filling up I walked into the shop and pressed the buttons to roll the windows up..... unfortunately I got it wrong! When I came out, all the windows were down. DOH!

I fitted mine about 6 months ago and still struggle with it! The other night in the dark I arrived at the back of the car with a computer in my arms. I reached into my pockets, looking for my keys and I managed to drop all the windows!
