Some suspension advice

Featured Replies

As posted in Tech I have a leaking FOS shock absorber that will need doing in the near future.

What would be the best cause of action, get the two fronts replaced ( though the stealer's wont quote a price without taking the car in :thumbdwn: ) or biting the bullet and going for some performance ones?

If performance, I need too try and balance the cost options, as I also need too change the rear brakes and pads and I don't want to spend more than needed.

I have seen the likes of Eibach Pro-Streets, KW's etc but I'm a bit lost at what I should be looking at getting done so that I can forget about that section of the car in the future.

I'd like too try and get that stuff under about

Weitec coilovers from Jabba @

if one is leaking or knackered, you normally do replace them in pairs, but tbh the cost of the genuine ones is so high you might as well buy a high performance set

The Koni FSD's are getting excellent reports when combined with Eibach springs. JKM did a recent group buy which may still be available if you phone them.

IIRC the FSD are fine but there are no springs suitable for the MK1 Octavia so I believe there out of the question sadly.
