Why are the price on a USED V.R.S 53 plate to 05 plate average miles are like all over the place whats the true value up to 10k to spend !

I guess it depends on options, how average the mileage is and where you are in the country.

I would love a new shape V.R.S but can not justify spending over 15k car No matter what car it is. As I just spent over 30k on doing my house up Only gardens to do now! Just think best to keep most of my money in stocks market

There only one thing stoping me thats I have a P.X thats a Skoda Fabia 1.9 TDIPD 100 comfert with 55k on clock thats why I would like Stealers.

I bought my 2004, 53 Plate for £7600. Its worth concidering as you would get more for your Fabia and a cheaper Octy.

One bonus is warranty with a dealer, but with a private buy of a 54 plate would still give the the remaining 6 months warranty.

I have been offered 3500ish to 3800ish for px seems no one want to buy it private.

Surprised nobody wants to buy it....

The guides are all over the place because the prices are. The peculiar effect of the Skoda badge/image? I had the same problem when I bought my diesel, could have easily paid £2500-3000 more for exactly the same car.

I bought an Octy (1.8T 4X4) from 'The Car People' in Ashton and had nothing but problems with it I had the car 3 months and 1 whole month of that was with their mechanics. The refunded me my money back in the end with a deduction of course!

Car Supermarkets I would say are a general big no no. Be careful with Dealerships as well...take someone who really knows their cars and drive a couple.

My black Aug 03 vRS cost me £7300 in early Jan this year with 59,000 miles. Came with cruise and rear parking sensors. One previous owner and was sold to me with 1 year approved Skoda warranty.

Decent prices are out there, it just means you've got to have a look around.

Too be honest the price that Octavia vRS are NOT selling at private the values of this car has shot down somewhat, and I don't think many dealers have priced accordingly, so in my view the best buy are the private ones now.

Thanks, had used this site before but had forgotten about it. Moving overseas in 6 weeks time and ideally would like to have sold at least one of them before I go. If not they're both going on a garage forecourt to try and shift them!
