Required for 200+ bhp...

:iagree: I cannot wait to get mine in. I pick up the donor gearbox for it on Easter Monday. Should then be a swift in & out job. New box is less than 10k to the good as well, so in many ways I'm "renewing" a part of my car, and it means I have a spare box should the doggy excrement hit the fan.

Yeah but the previous owner might have ragged the hell out of the box Jason. :D

Yes, but the previous owner isn't too far away from me should I need to " 'ave a word" regarding how badly the gearbox had been ragged. ;)

Plan...

1) Get boost gauge 0 through 2.5 BAR.

2) Get G-tech performance meter.

3) Familiarise with above.

4) Rolling road it to get nominal power@wheels figure.

5) Get downpipe.

6) Monitor/check performance

7) Get intercooler

8) Monitor/check performance

9) Get turbo

10) Monitor/check performance.

11) Get custom remap and/or clutch.

12) RR included in remap but moniotr and check performance afterwards.

I have adjusted the numbers/text a little bit to show what order I'd do it - This assumes that you plan to eventually do it all anyway. :)

6) Get clutch - - - - - - - DO ALL THESE 4 AT SAME TIME IF POSSIBLE.

9) Get turbo

10) Monitor/check performance. (It will be marginal extra performance if not remapped already)

The car's got a generic remap on it at the moment, torque limited to 270LBFT.

I'm interested in seeing the effect of the downpipe on boost peak/spike and sustained boost. I s'pose likewise, with the FMIC, I want to see how it drives with the generic on it.

FMIC for summer would be nice, maybe.

my plan's as per below really, need to fit my forge FMIC and brakes then save some money for a clutch and LSD? then new turbo and custom map.

exhaust will more than likely be done cause i'm bored one week :D

Jason- have you fitted your LSD yet? Any problems getting it from the States etc...

Cheers

Scott
