Would anyone be up for a meet in the new forest over the next couple of months.

Nice weather and as long as you time it right you can avoid nearly all the tourists.

Some great pubs and some stunning drives (40mph though) along with some nice fast NSL twisties too

Thinking meet up have a drive, pub lunch have a drive then off with the option of an evening meal or a curry around soton way before people head off.

Suggestions of dates etc appreciated

i could probably manage that..... most weekends are fine for me.

The second june dates are the iow festival, all roads around the soton ferry will be a total nightmare.

I am in Dorset for the fist two weeks of June so could maybe make it myself if that was ok:)

I'm interested but would mention that the 5th/6th May coincide with the BBQ/Camping meet 'ooop North (which I'm off to).

How about 16th/17th june? That should give me enough notice to make sure I'm not working and I know Mr P will be off on those dates.

End of June perhaps, maybe do it on a saturday and if people wanted I could have a chat with one or two local camp sites see if anything is possible for a arrive friday night, camp over night and sat night into sunday should people want to make a weekend of it?

To allow the evening lot to have a drive, how about meeting up about 10ish and taking a drive into the forest for a lunch. Taking a drive around a few nice places, perhaps some wine tasting or something, then Lymington or keyhaven and bit of a round trip.

That would leave the option of an evening meal and for any night time drivers to have a bit of a go in the forest at night before heading home?
