Power Steering Sensor (G250) - 30-00 - Open or Short to B+

Featured Replies

Does the PAS work without the engine running - no

So its pretty safe to assume the engine needs to be running for the ECU to output a voltage to the sensor.

Also testing a hall effect sensor with a bulb is no good, you need an LED test light.

Lummox - You are right - We were uisng a LED test light - Sorry I didnt know thats what they were called...

The engine was not on - But whats strange is when the engine was off the other two leads all had current - I ll try this weekend with the engine on and see if current is getting there -

If there is not current then what would you do (assuming another sensor still has the same problem)

Cheers very much
