looking for car for wife today

Sounds like you and her are both happy enough.

Eurocarparts and GSF are pretty cheap for spare on Renaults too which are usually a bit cheaper than the VAG equivalents.

She is well chuffed, i am ok with it but i do have my reservations about anything french.:)

From what i could see it seemed ok, i am no mechanic though and apart from checking the obvious things i am not sure what else i could do anyway, hopefully i have made a good purchase but thanks for the heads up on the spares, no doubt i will need some sooner or later.:)

The french cars are nowhere near as bad as people say... well except for the 307 :)

Good Choice

We had a Renault Scenic Renter about that age for a coule of weeks when Wendys old Mondeo was in the garage "AGAIN" a few years ago. It was a load of fun although wandered a bit when flat out down the A34 but I guess your good lady wont try & see the max she can wring out of it, certainly a well specced family hack.

re French cars, nothing wrong with them, Ive had 3 Citroens in the past, all were ragged to death & gave great service & not a single suspension problem.

If you drive it like the French do (hard) it will feel at home & should serve you well

Hopefully we will get it at the weekend.

Spoke to the place we are getting it from today and they said they had done the cam belt and done the water pump at the same time:thumbup: Which i was chuffed with.

I will put some pics up of it:)
