Three VRS's

Featured Replies

Hi, I've just discovered this site.

Am I the only person in the world, (do you think) to have had three Fabia VRS cars from new?

I got my first in March 04.

I traded that in for a new 07 plate on 8th March, and two weeks later it got wiped out in an accident.

I'm now waiting for my insurance company to replace it with a new VRS Special Edition.

hi. and welcome to briskoda.  3. bit of bad luck there m8.

That's true - I was gutted as it was driven away on the flat-bed of a tow truck, and devastated when told it was beyond economic repair  . But, at least no-one was injured, and I will be getting a SE  (which I didn't know about when I ordered the 07 plate back end of last year).

Welcome to Briskoda.

Now look after the special edition one.

I certainly will, Mr Luton. My poor 07 plate was rammed by a van while stationary in traffic, so there wasn't a lot I could do about it. Even though I haven't picked up the new SE yet, I'm getting paranoid about how I'd replace it if it got nicked/etc.

And, as the insurance company is sourcing it, I've got no idea what my SE number will be - but I'm looking forward to posting it on VRStu's Fabia Limited Edition Register (Members/Fabia) thread .

Cheers.

Three Fabia's and you've only just found us!!

Cheers. It's a good site with lots of useful info, by the looks of it. as soon as I get my new wheels I'll be visiting it more often - I was introduced to it by one of your members fabmark - I've known him in 'civvie' life through work & he bought a Fabia VRS after I'd been recomending them to all and sundry - so I guess what goes around, comes around!!!!

I was mentioned in this forum before I even knew of its existence (see Skoda Support Categories/Fabia/fabmark's post in Gray909's thread "Fabia gone to heaven")

PS.

My 04 Fabia overtook a few 'interesting' cars in the three years I had it, inc:

Honda Civic Type R [on twisty bit of Via Gellia]

Lotus Elise [flew past him at top speed on Taddington Bypass, Derbys]

Maserati Spyder [again on Taddington Bypass - I think he was touring!]

Lamborghini Diablo [came up behind him in Torridon, Scotland, on a single track road. He finally let me past just before Kinlochewe after a couple of miles and a few toots of the horn]

See you later......

So, can we clarify. You've had a Furbie written off, and not rolled it? ;)

As for the Diablo, be fair, he may not have known you were there until you told him!

Welcome, told you it was interesting!

Hopefully the SE will manage a bit more than 600 miles before you need another!

i've had two but my se is on the way and that makes three there is a story behind it but i can't type that quickly
