Octavia vRS Brake Moo'ing

Featured Replies

Hello all,

My 05 octavia has done 16k and is suffering some squeeky brakes and moo'ing when braking in reverse.

I seem to remember a while ago that there was a fix for the rubber bits (very technical) on the fabia vRS brake setup as it had a similar problem.

Anyone know of any product issues on the octavia to do with brakes?

Thanks

Can't help much, but I think it'll only be the rear brakes mooooing at you when you reverse...it is a very common thing, if a little annoying!!

Do a search on it as there is loads of info about it

Yep.. Search the threads... There is loads of info on this one.

The fabia mod (I believe) does stop the mooing, but then causes a high pitched squeel when braking forwards!

Skoda UK will then distance themselves from this fault (from personal experience).

Stick to the Mooing, its not half as annoying as the squeel!:(
