Hi all, Thinking about trading the VRS in for one of these, the 150bhp version, anyone had any issues with one??

looks like i was right then , timing belt failures at half the mileage they should do

Well, thats that idea out the window:mad:

A work colleagues other half has had first hand experience of the timing belt failure, she had just left the motorway and was slowing down on the slip road when it failed. Took months to get the car fixed, when she went to the dealer during repair to find out whats happening she found the cylinder head and various other parts on the back seat inside the car without any kind of protection on the seat. After she got it back it was sold immediatley as she needed a reliable car for work.

Big question mark over reliability and poor customer service.... dare you risk this for a stylish car?

Electrics on Italian cars have been noted in the past for..erm...being carp. I often see Alfas with the front windscreen wipers stuck half way across the screen, or brake lights that flash in time with indicators (mind you I see many old Fords do that too!).

Mind you, the new Alfa Brera things looks gorgeous!
