Koni FSD and Eibach Kit - Octavia MKI, MKII & Fabia

Featured Replies

Following on from the success of the recent similar Group Buy, and due to my not being able to take advantage of it!! Those nice people at JKM have offered to support another Group Buy.

JKM are offering the Koni and Eibach kit supplied and fitted at their first class workshop facility in Portsmouth for the all inclusive prices listed below, a saving of over £100 (Prices have risen slightly following a price increase from Koni!!!).

Of course with that sort of saving you would expect a catch and there are a few rules to qualify for this offer:-

1. We need a minimum of 5 cars to have at least the FSD kit - Eibach springs are optional.

2. Cut off date for deposits will be Friday 31st May 2007. You can choose to have fitting at a later date if you wish.

3. A deposit of 50% must be paid prior to the cut off date to qualify for the discount (the balance to be paid on the day of fitting).

4. Payments are to be made directly to JKM and they do accept Credit Cards.

(All prices include tracking).

Octavia MK2 - FSD & Eibach £605

Octavia MK2 - FSD Only - £495

Octavia MK1 (excluding VRS) FSD & Eibach - £675

Octavia MK1 (excluding VRS) FSD only - £540

Octavia MK1 VRS - FSD Only - £495

Fabia's (2000-2006) - FSD & Eibach £605

Fabia's (2000-2006) - FSD Only - £495

FSD Stands for Frequency Selective Damping and is the first shock absorber to offer superior road holding without compromising comfort. A revolutionary new technique which combines the benefits of firm and comfortable and comfortable suspension in a single shock absorber. Firm for sporty driving on even road surfaces, and comfortable for a smooth ride on uneven road surfaces. A new technique whereby the benefits of both types of ride characteristics are combined in one perfect shock absorber. A smart suspension system adjusting automatically to road conditions as well as driving style, and all of this in a fraction of a second. All kits contain front and rear FSD shock absorbers.

If you are genuinely interested add your name below. Please state which combination you require.

Having got Koni FSDs on the first 'group buy' I wrote a review of them which can be found here;- http://www.briskoda.net/forums/gearbox-tyres/koni-fsd-shock-absorbers/76644/

I've just today completed a 'brisk' 200 mile trip on mixed, and somewhat bumpy A roads with my 82 year old Father-in-law as passenger. He was very impressed with the suppleness of the ride on my vRS (along with the tsunami of TDI torque) a comment that IMHO he would not have made if I had OE shocks.

A totally worth while purchase.

If you've phoned Kate today to enquire about Octy MKI pricing then she sends her most sincere apologies but she gave you the wrong price. Prices are as above.

2. NeilS - FSD and Eibach Octy II (Estate)

3. Alfie - FSD and Eibach Octy I

Notice in the thread to the pervious GB there was mention of needing two trips, one to measure in order to get the right part orders and the second for fitting. This still the case, not too hot on a 460mile round trip just for someone to get the mesuring calipers out :(

No not with the MK1 and to be honest no need with the MK2 anymore, it can be done by chassis number.

Hi All,

We have had a Golf sign up for this too, so just need one more taker and we can go ahead:

Updated list as follows:

1. Stu - FSD and Eibach Octy II

2. NeilS - FSD and Eibach Octy II (Estate)

3. Alfie - FSD and Eibach Octy I

4. Carl - FSD and Eibach - MK4 Golf 1.8T

Kate :)

Hmm - First time for me on a GB and OK I'm a relative newbie but isn't this is a bit turtle-like? :( I was looking to have this booked and sorted in good time for my annual jaunt through France in June. I've been ragging the OEM Bridgestones hard in an effort to get shot of them (with some sucess thanks to the benevolent weather!) and fit Toyos all round with the Konis and Eibach kit. Kate did you know, 4 really is the new 5!

So near and yet so far Neil.

I'm afraid we are in the hands of another purchaser in this case as Kate needs to order a minimum of 5 sets from Koni to get the deal.

I'd be on this like a shot if I had the spare cash. Sorry guys

I'd be interested but have too many problems and not enough cash.

Hi All,

Great News. We have 5

Updated list as follows:

1. Stu - FSDand Eibach Octy II

2. NeilS - FSD and Eibach Octy II (Estate)

3. Alfie - FSD and Eibach Octy I

4. Carl - FSD and Eibach - MK4 Golf 1.8T

5. BigmanRichy - FSD and Eibach - Seat Leon Cupra R

If all 5 of you wish to go ahead before the cut off on 31st may than providing everyone is in agreement I can order 5 set earlier and get you booked in for fitting. BigmanRichy has agree to go ahead early and I will contact Carl with the golf so if the 3 BRISKODA.net members are happy to call in this week with 50% deposit then Ill get the kits ordered.

If anyone else if still thinking about taking part then I will keep the group buy running until 31st May as my supplier has kindly agreed to honor the group buy price for any additional sets purchased up until this date.

Any questions please PM me.

I'm ready when you are Kate :naughty:

Guess I'll be calling you on Monday...and so my first ventures on to the slippery road of modification begins.

Just like to say since joining the forum you have all been a bad influence and I now have ambitious wild ideas. I lub you (yes I've been drinking).

Stu/Kate - can something still be sorted on this, as long as it's before the end of May deadline? Or is it now the sort of situation where you need 'another' 5 people to make the deal again?

May have someone interested in the Fab vRS setup, FSD + Eibach.

Cheers,

Steve

I see no reason why not Steve-

Cheers mate - I'd missed that bit :)

Steve

Hi Steve,

If you would still like to take part thats fine , I just needed a minimum of five to get the ball rolling and that all important extra discount for you guys.

I can add further sets to the order at any time so yes you still have till the end of May if you would like to join in.

If you want to take part then just let me know your car details in a PM and confirm if you want FSD & Eibach or just FSD's

Kind Regards

Kate

  • 2 weeks later...

Still pondering over these - proving a tough decision between this setup and a coilover setup with someone like Weitec.

Anyway, does the quote 'special' price include any kind of geometry check afterwards?

And if I go ahead, would you have a fitting slot a week today, by any chance?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

Yes price includes tracking checks and adjustments where needed.

Providing we can get the parts in time then we currently have a 1.30pm slot available for fitting next Friday (1st June). I will need at least a couple of days notice to obtain the shocks and springs though if you wish to go ahead.

Kind Regards

Kate

I don't think you'll be disapointed Steve. ;)

I paid a little visit to a well respected local VAG experts yesterday and lets just say I am impressed with the outcome. :D

If you are down I might even be able to drag Mr Fish over and take you for a spot of lunch if I can get off of work.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but I believe Mr Fish will be in Hullavington next Friday.

That could work out very well indeed. What's your estimate for fitting time?

As soon as I've checked the old finances I'll give you a shout :D

Stu - sounds good mate, just let me know

Cheers,

Steve

That is of course assuming he can avail himself of the necessary rubber to complete such a feat. But alas I think you may be correct.

Steve - It's not 100% and may not be until the day but I'll text you if I can.

No worries Stu :)

Steve
