Nice bush

Featured Replies

So, after 110000 miles, the vRS was feeling a bit harsh and tired at the front end. It knocked a bit on speed bumps, wobbled a bit at certain speeds and generally felt worn. So this evening I have fitted new balljoints, wishbone bushes, anti roll bar bushes and mounts, and what a transformation! It feels like it has been given a new lease of life, nice and smooth with no noises or wobbles. Also as a bonus, where it used to lift the inside wheel on roundabouts etc quite easily and flash the TC light, it now stays planted, in fact the TC light has not come on once since. I can only put this down to the nice new bushes stopping the car from lifting up and therefore keeping the weight down.

Just thought i would share that with you all, the best

well done... top job... it's urprising how much difference fitting new bushes make to the handling

  • 4 weeks later...

I am getting a wobble around 60mph.

Have had the wheels balanced so I am starting to look at balljoints/wishbone bushes, etc.

Do you have the part numbers/costs for the ones you fitted readily to hand?

Mine is a 2003 vRS so assuming they will be the same fitment?!

I'd be interested in the part numbers as well

Mine is going into VW Rescue on friday for a knocking problem, I will let you guys know the outcome as this might be of help.

I took the hard but cheap option of pressing the wishbone bushes out myself and fitting new ones. However i would not recommend doing this on a snowy day with cold water dripping off the car down your arm.:D
