Squealing from the wheels

Featured Replies

hi, i've got a problem with my wheels squeeling a lot of the time, it tends to be when I turn slightly at high speeds. Am i right in thinking it's the wheel bearings or maybe the cv joints??

the brakes arent new are they?

no they are over a year old, thats a task for me to do as soon as i solve the wheel problem

i have sueeling issues at the mo, just got new brakes and the collection of dust is building up and squeeling like mad, but just now got out of the car and when i put my weight onto the pavement and the car rose it made a squeek, tried it putting some weight onm the front right of the car and letting go and the same again, awfull noise, what is it and how much will it cost me this time?

The noise is coming from your brakes i had the same problem the pistons on the calipers were seized

was it an expensive job?? I'm sure I would be able to do it myself if I could get the part

You have to replace the fluid seals and the dust seals around the pistons if you have the haynes manual it is posible to do it . The seals are very cheap .I would also recomend you to replace and the brake pads because when the pistons seize the pads get overheated .

put some big a$$ 4 pots on!!! then the only squeeling will be the tyers! he he he

took it back to where i had the brakes done, they reckon its just a build of of dust, blasted it with some water from a pressure jet and seemed to clear it up, said everything else was fine when he fitted them
