Mk 1 Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Just general interest really but when did the Mk1 Octy VRS cease production? I've got a 54 plate (Feb '05) and was wondering if this was one of the last ones?

One or two of my previous cars were close to the change over date of versions and I sometimes had difficulty getting the right parts as some of them were from the newer model than mine and I wondered if this would be the case on the Octy?

Thanks

Mike

You won't have problems with confusion over different part versions. the MK1 Octy and Mk2 Octy are very different.

thought they would be but wanted to make sure.

Thanks

I'm off to buy one on Friday - the V5 date is 24/03/05, on a 54 Plate.

Can't wait!!!!!!!!!

They're still in production. They;re now known as the "Tour" model. I know of a Mk1 vRS sold about 6 months ago, brand new.

They are also very much alive in India. Skoda India sell both the MK1 and MK2 along side each other. The MK1 is known as the Skoda Octavia, the MK2 is known as the Skoda Laura.

Nextdoor neighbour to my folks just bought a brand new (April 2007) Mk1 Octy SDi.

Irish reg so - 07 D 38xxx

We're at about 43xxx at the moment so barely bought.

Looks so strange when there's a 05 reg Mk2 Octy two doors further down.
