why should there be?

Airbag deactivation was an optional extra, if your car had it there would be a key activated switch in the glove box :)

we are expecting our first any day now so was just wandering about the baby seat,

theres no on off switch in the glove box so the baby seats aying in the back

Good luck with the new arrival.

When you move onto the forward facing baby car seat I would recommend betting one with isofix locating system.

We got a Britax because they came out best in the safety tests in Which? magazine. A seat protector under the seat will also save it digging into the leather or silver mesh and stop staining issues.

I have found Kiddicare.co.uk to be very good on price and customer service.

It always good to get any tips or advise but you will make your own mind up.

thanks for the help the more baby tips the better as im an old hand at cars:)

I know this is a car forum but my wife joined babycentre.co.uk and it's been brilliant for info and advise. Our wee one was due in May so my wife was put on the forum with all the mothers due at the same time. It means they are going through similar things at the same time. Not all mothers are having their first child either so it's great for passing on previous experiences.

It also seem to help her when i went back to work and she was looking after a new born on her own, stopped her going completely barking because she had other adults to speak to.

I might have their web-site slightly wrong but Google would still find it no bother.
