Got kicked out when asking a tehcnical question

I am struggling with this site. Who do you ask questions?

I registered and got a nice welcome then tried to ask a technical question and got kicked out as "Not allowed" I was told I might have to be a freedom member.

What a way to introduce that. What is it?

The car is bad enough already and we will change for Hyundai because they have 5 years unlimited mileage guarantee.

The Dealer had my Octavia two days and cannot fix it. Hopeless!

You can ask a question in any area that does not require you to become a freedom member.

You are under no pressure to become a freedom member - It does however open up other areas of the forum to you as well as discounts. I am sure you understand running a website like this does not come cheap and therefore people are offered the opportunity to contribute to those costs, and many do as they save much, much more in terms of garage costs etc.

I'm sorry you feel you've not recieved a nice welcome to Briskoda, I always try to make a point of welcoming new members.

I've had a quick look at your other posts, most seem to be related to customer service - 5 years unlimited mileage warranty doesn't equal good customer service.

It's unfortunate that your can't be fixed as quickly as you like, I'm afraid that sometimes these things do take time and I'm sure you'd like it returned fixed rather than having to keep going back.

This post is in the wrong area so I will move it to a more appropriate place for you.

Cant find the technical question you asked other than in the "Hi and Welcome " section, which isnt freqented much by people.

Post your question in this section instead (by clicking the new thread button), and Im sure you get a reply in less than an hour.

One advantage of joining freedom (as this site is 100% not supported by skoda and is only funded by its members kind donations) is that you can post in the "Ask a tech" section which gets you quicker and more specialist help with your questions

HTH,

It must be pretty stressful having car problems and having to navigate a new site to find an answer.

You'll find an answer really fairly fast by posting in the right place, takes a short while to get the hang of the site, but it is an amazing resource.

Hang in there mate

On a more serious note, you like many who join this site turn up ask a question and then leave whereas the whole ethic of Briskoda is one of community with excellent recources should you need it.

This site is FREE to join but there are certain areas, Ask a Tech being one of them, that you cannot post unless you are a paid up Freedom member which costs just
