dash pod screen removal ??

Featured Replies

The clear plastic in front of the dash instrument pod has some marks on the inside that I want to polish out. it looks straightforward to release the dash pod, remove trim and 2 screws, but can I get the plastic screen off without unplugging the back??

Really need to remove it to get the plastic off. But short of resetting your clock there is no reason why you cant unplug it.

The plastic is pretty fragile too, so be careful.

thanks fellas, VRStu, does the plastic just unclip?

If you look around the back of it you'll see several large clips, you need to seperate it here - When you do there isn't much access to the inner screen.

I don't think you'll get the front off without cracking it. I have a brand new one here which I bought with a cracked screen as I was going to do a blue LED conversion so I've just had a look at that for you.
