New brake pads due ,what to fit?

Featured Replies

OK its new front brake pad time, as heralded by the annoying beep, and the light on the dash.

So, in the interest of improving brake performance what are your thoughts on the best replacements?

Pagid blues :thumbup::thumbup:

Chris seemed to like the red stuff ceramics.

Mintex extreem also seem to be getting interest from some.

Pagid fast road or Mintex M1144 - which are the same material, but sometimes you see them at different prices!

Red Stuff is way too hard for a road car IMO.

New Red Stuff Ceramic is e rated and works well on the road IMHO

You are wrong, IMO ;)

Ferrodo DS2500's are excellent if you can get them in your fitment.

I have the Pagid Blue fast road pads on the Octy. They give good feel on the road and are good for trackdays. As those who know me will attest, I use the brakes a lot when going round Knockhill :o:O

I got them fitted at Star Performance :):)
