MK1 Octy RS. After driving for about 200miles i suddently noticed that I lost boost. Turning the engine off and on cured the problem.

Is it the N75 valve problem?

Need the fault codes read off but could be the 17705 fault, lots of causes.

in my few years of having a 1.8T it seems to just be one of them things, luckily mine was a 150bhp standard so teh drop in boost was small and not that noticable until i got it remapped

After having an intermittent fault on my trannie I later found out that it was a split on the intercooler pipe. So for starters I would check the pipe work.

It is remapped and has been for 3 months now without problems. I will see if it happens again ...

On the positive side, you really can feel the difference between 210HP -> about 120HP hehe.
