I understand why your user title is as it is now its been explained. As for the Maddy banner it doesnt cause me an issue althought I do wonder how many people across the world would care if she wasnt English/White/Blonde/Pretty etc... but thats an issue with society not you mate.

a) The thread is two pages long

It isnt the thread that has put me off, its the copius amounts of information on the web showing there is problems with the Xbox and that Microsofts customer services are questionable

c) Because of the above, I would prefer to get the PS3 as it has more features that are useful to me. It was a very narrow line that lead me to the 360 and due to the reasons above it isnt worth me getting one

i have an xbox 360, it broke and i called microsfot who emailed me straight away with the ups delivery note and i had to call up and get it collected. that never happened due to reason on my side so i called up again when it was convenient and they asked why i hadn't had it sent before so i told them why and they said fine here's the email again and it was collected, i have been kept informed and told whats happening and when with it and it is currently on its way back to me within 9 days when they said it can take upto 3 weeks so my experience so far with the microsoft customer support is excellent.

the ps3 is heavy and even worse for air, its like a portable heater!

I agree my sons xbox went down a few weeks ago:mad: (he does play it non stop). Called ms Saturday, printed email return label on Sunday, ups picked it up from my work on Monday. Returned it thursday. Cant fault that and I think the 360 is a quality machine the live game play is awesome. I spend hours at weekend watching my boy on gears of war.

it all comes down to what you want from a games console the 360 has great games out just now with even more in the future it also has a great online sevice granted the console did have reliability issues but in my experience MS support has been great and i cant fault them . on the other hand the ps3 is still new it only has 3-4 decent games yes it will have great games in the future which is why i bought one .The online service for ps3 is ok at the moment but once it has a lot more users ill see how it copes. im on my second 360 since launch my first 1 lasted 8 months and my first ps3 lasted 1 day i found sony tech support hopeless i was on the telephone to them for an hour its not even a free phone number all i got told by them was " we dont know what the fault in the console is take it back to the shop and swap it " pretty poor service i thought ..

if its a games console your looking for it really has to be the xbox360 the ps3 at the moment is too much money for a games console if all you want to do is play games and not need the extra stuff that it comes with ...

If it is just a console you want, then surely the Wii has to win hands down.

A lot more entertainment for the outlay.

not really as the Wii is only any good at silly games to play when drunk, that and the fact you look like a tit playing it backs up the drunk playing

Personally since you can use Gamecube controllers with the Wii and you can now buy retro controllers too, I'd say you can play without looking like a tit.

Good news for 360 owners though!

I think having read that - I'd want to see it on the MS official website.

But for those who are concerned about buying an xbox360 the new 3 year warrenty is complete peace of mind.

So Im going to be buying one very soon - hopefully will be able to kick some of you a55's too (friendly banter).

That could open the floodgates for dead modded ones too. If your box was out of warranty then it would have been unreasonalbe to open it up for a quick look which would have broken the seal.

I think they had to do it as sales have not been meeting expectations and clearly for anyone thinking of buying a product they must have reliability in it.

I still cannot believe what one peep posted on here a while ago that if theirs broke out of warranty oh just go out and buy another.... its only

I've still got my Amiga 600 and it's still in working order, thankfully!!

I've also got a PS2 and have got my mates XBox 360 after he went into the army and, hopefully, there has been nothing wrong with it. I know one of my other mates XBox 360 had to be returned twice to be repaired but hopefully all the issues with the early models has now been sorted.

I have heard that the Wii is outselling the PS3 6 to 1 and is outselling the Xbox360 9 to 1 - however the xbox360 is 18months old now so it novelty has worn off.

Then again those who are in the market place would consider it much more seriously now.
