octy long life servicing

Featured Replies

Is it worth doing and if so what exactly is it? Also does the car tell you when it needs servicing

Oh this is on the vRS by the way :)

I dont know the answer to that but will be interested...as a high mileage user it could be interesting and my vRS goes in for 10K service Friday so wonder about long life

To add another question....if you are about to go on a long trip - say a holiday in europe that could be 2-3,00 miles can u interrogate the car to see how long before the next service is due?

I am running on longlife servicing. Basically the car decides by using various sensors when the oil etc. need changing, My 1st service came in at 18000 miles and the 2nd was at 36000 miles. You get a 1000 mile countdown, in general it usually equates to around 20k miles for the octy RS. Service costs are slightly higher because of what they replace, but you miss out on the 10k oil service.

I think if i was due for a long trip and the car had done between 12 -15K since the last service i'd put it in anyway ;)
