Zero Interest on my car in the for sale section

Featured Replies

Give it time. That's all I can say.

I'd buy it, but I'm in Dubai :D

As I said in your ' Remapped Fabia Vrs to sell or not to sell ?' thread, the value may be more like 7500-7750.

As Snoopie says, with something being sold in modified form, it will take longer for the right buyer to come along.

Good luck with the sale

Zero interest!!!?? Really?

Blimey!

I want to be selling my 04 plate in the next month - not too disimilar to yours but will probably be about

Nice looking motor and appears to have been well looked after - price might be a touch high though for most peeps.

I'm in the 'locale' but haven't seen you around (from the piccys I'll guess at C**d*rt*n) - would have noticed the wheels in particular.

i suppose it is a little high but i am open to offers , i know what i would accept minimum but wouldnt want to diclose to potential buyers...I will see how things go and then reduce the price accordingly.

Im from Oldham by the way !

Duh  - I'd seen that, hence my remark about the area looking like......

What are you getting next ?

693 views hardly equates to zero interest!

Nah. That's him, clicking the re-fresh button to see if anyone has replied! :P

Im looking for something around 6K :) I have seen your car for sale if it makes you any happier.. :D

Specs i need are:

vRS

03-04 onwards

< 40k

Silver/yellow

Anything extra would be good :D

[Edit] LOL @ Above...

I think you'll struggle for that budget. You will make the search easier if you up the allowed mileage though.

And yellow would help, if you like it, as resale tends to be lower.

Steve

Lol I know, but on saying that i seen some for 6.5k @ ~40k (gone quickly though)... Im in no huge rush :) surely wthin 3 months i can find 1..

yellow is a lovely colour..! v diff too. but black is becoming more and more attractive (from daves pics)....

Fair enough - right place, right time and all that.

Good luck

I maybe out of order here, but I do not know what your multiple upgrades are worth? so you may be asking too much

I got my 04 VRS 20k miles FSH , from a dealer with "lifetime" warranty,(From Skoda, must purchase on that one day of the year only, for that)

Scot guard protection, free MP3 Player, four brand new Michelin Exalto tyres, one owner, years tax and MOT plus free months Skoda UK insurance , GAP insurance, with 18 months full roadside skoda assistance and my unused road tax off my previous car back, for 1K less than your reduced price!

Off course I believe the "lifetime" warranty is a load of crap, that will only be revealed if I try to use it,

The free MP3 player I have yet to see, it is not the fitted head unit, so I believe it is the 30 quid personal MP3 Player that I have searched the vehicle high and low but not found yet!

The Scot Guard well it has the stickers on the windows and the date, it appears just now that the muck just slides off in the rain, so maybe I have it, or was it just a good job with MER?

I got everything else though so not too disapointed it would cost me more in fuel to return and demand my MP3 player

As I stated at the beginning I do not know what your upgrades are worth, maybe thousands of pounds, though you did say you bought the alloys for

As I stated at the beginning I do not know what your upgrades are worth

They will be worth next to nothing (in fact they may make the car more undesirable!) so it's usually worth returning the car to standard and selling the bits separately :D

I agree, having just done so, car won't sell well on here better try Autotrader as most on here have one.

Is it coz it is black?? :P

Its on Autotrader and Pistonheads already....a price reduction should help but , see what interest come over the next week or so before i reduce it again

Hi there, 1st post on here. (Found here through seatcupra.net)

I am seriously tempting myself to get a Fabia VRS as my 1.4 petrol Ibiza mk4 is killing me twice a month at the petrol station plus i would like some performance without ragging the hell out of my accelerator pedal!

Problem is my SEAT is all financed up and i need to sort out that ASAP. I'll check back here periodically to see if yours is still about. 8k seems to be the usual price for an 04 ive found? plus your has already been mapped and eibached saving me the trouble!

What insurance costs are you paying if you don't mind me asking? (i have 2yrs no claims) I know it'll be more than my 1.4 sport but i will prob. make it back up in tax and fuel.

Pay off your finance, with a bank loan. Which will work out cheaper for you anyway. Then the vRS.. is all yours ;)

Dave - don't take this the wrong way, but I don't think you're listening. Return it to standard, put on AutoTrader, then see what happens :)

To keep reducing the price isn't really helping you is it?

Steve

modified cars just don't sell  just makes them look like they have been thrashed !

Wardy i am listening and will prob end up doing that but ive only had it for sale on Autotrader for 1 week !

Returning to standard will cost me money..Its 100 quid to have my springs put back on, dont know how much it will cost to have the map taken off , maybe 100 quid.....i dont have any original wheels either !

Will review situation next week.

Cheers
