Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm thinking of selling my vrs estate, it's done 66000 on a 53 plate in black magic. Its got a full skoda history and is taxed and tested. How much do you think it's worth?

Also do I have to have posted to advertise the car here?

Funny how people with either a problem or a car for sale, always find the Briskoda site with their "FIRST" post, and then we never see or hear from them again..........Enigma.

I would think that's quite natural. Most people aren't really that interested in PC's or chatting about cars but when they get a problem & no-one seems to know the answer they think: "I know; I'll try the internet!"

I imagine pretty much any Google search with Skoda in it will bring up Briskoda.net in the first page of results. Some people will get the answer to their question & never return. Others will find the place interesting and then lurk & occasionally post. Some will find their life is changed & spend most of the rest of it chatting with their new friends on here!

I also bet there must be a few people who join Freedom purely to sell their car, make one or two posts & then never return. It's cheaper than Autotrader!

I think what Gerry was eluding to is that some new members come to just try and sell their car, don't contribute anything to the community, THEN we don't hear anything from them ever again :)

Well that's my view on the issue, anyway.

Yes, there probably are one or two who do this, but at least by joining Freedom they have made a contribution to Briskoda in return for the advert.

Wardy, Steve, you got it in one, well done..:P

I have visited briskoda before and would have actually participated if I'd had any problems with the car or if I were to tune it. I was a member of the ffoc forum whilst I had my Focus which I was modifying and found it really helpfull.

The truth is that the Octavia was a stop gap car as I had a pd150 golf gti which was fully kitted out with nearly every option and some arsehole sideswiped me and wrote the car off. I bought the Skoda from my uncle who was kind enough to give me the car early whilst my claim was being persued from Admiral. The claim ended up taking 5 months. Im now buying a house so my situation has changed again. I,ve bought a banger to use whilst im renovating the house and the VRS has got to go to fund the house. Although i'll probably be posting again as when my injury claim comes from my knee problems (I'm having surgery on the 5th june) i'll be buying a Fabia VRS but that'll probably be a year down the line.

Cheers,

Mike

OK Beretta, I see what you mean. (got the un-edited post via e-mail). All that spiel & he still sticks an ad on the end of it!
