Oh dear, thats damned unlucky fella :(

Feel for ya mate, its sickening when that happens. Hope you get it sorted quick.

I spotted the Eircom van. I take it that you are over in Ireland at the moment?

Ouch, sorry to hear about that, you ain't having much luck here. Make sure theres no expense spared in the repairs, or the neck could get worse ;) ...Eircom (robbing B@stards).

Soory to hear that. I sow your car when in better condition a couple of times (LV reg). Looks to me that only the rear bumper is damaged apart from your neck.

Quck question: I pushed brake pedal when this happens, is it any possibility that something wrong happens with brakes/axels/shock-absorbers ?

That looks like it could end up being expensive .....for the other drivers insurance, make sure you get it done at a skoda approved bodyshop and if you aren't happy with it when it's dne ...tell them so.......

.all the best

Its difficult to say how much thats going to cost to fix, the bumper looks like its hiding all the damage to the rear panel and who knows what else.

Last year one to one accident cost insurance 6K Euro.

Was in garage and only got appointment for examination :(

Oh dear - you're not having much luck at the moment.

Hope things get sorted quickly and without too much pain (both physical and financial!)

Ouch! Oh dear it was a Mayo reg van too

Judging by the ripples on the rear pillar, it looks like the chassis could have crumpled. Best get a good garage to look at it.

Bad luck Shahoff.

Got quote from garage and then letter from insurance that they proof amount for 600E less then garage :(

Will fight for $ :(

Wont Eircom pay out, after all it was there van that run into the back of you. You shouldnt be out of pocket for any € or $ for that matter, no matter where your car is registered be it Latvia or Eire.

I rang to insurance company again and they told me that Phoenix motors contacted and proof new figures. But when I rang garage they was really surprised about this and told me that NOBODY contacted them about my car. What to do? Solicitor? Or just give to insurance one more chance?

Not being smart, but did they contact the right Phoenix motors? Hope things get sorted. Damage looks costly to fix. Regards David

The insurance company will value the car in the cheapest way possible for them. Assuming the insurance company is based in Ireland, and as the car is on Latvian plates, they will not value it the same as if it was an Irish registered car. If somone wanted to import Shahoff's car and re-register it over here, they would have to pay a substantial amount of VRT to clear it. My guess is that the insurance company is valuing the car (and repairs consequently) at cost of repairs less approx. 23% due to the VRT issue, or maybe even at Latvian repair rates perhaps.

Looks like the insurance companies loss adjuster has earned his wages on this one.

I am not looking to get money from insurance company ( yet ). The car just have to be repeared. Transport car to Latvia will cost extra 2K euro :). With this logic I have to register my car somewhere in Monaco where labor cost much more. :) As far as I know no mater where the car is registred , car have to be fixed localy on authorized Skoda garage (car is still under body/paint waranty).

At this stage I just want to get my car repeared asap and with maximum quality. Health claim stay in Q.

And also this happens second time in Ireland, the same accicend, march last year. I got no problems with EagleStar excluding terms. Phoenix motors fixed car good , not perfect but good. This time I need perfect :) Especialy that guilty driver working for Eircom :) I know , You all just Love Eircom ;-)
