only one channel, hmmm. Are there any hacks out for sky+ boxes? wish we could get the media of it like tivo and stick it on my ipod.

prefer the loan idea of virgin, at least they'll repair it unlike sky.

Channel line up wise, has to be Sky after they fell out with Virgin.

Also check virgin actually offer digital in your area. Our area said yes, but try and order, you'll get a few days before install before the "actually, no you can't". So we killed the contract, and simply use Freeview.

All depends which channels you actually want.

I find Sky HD to be very good for me, well for the amount of TV I watch.....

well i've got a 'special' ntl box, that i bought from a guy in a pub (wink, wink). Which is good, but they've pulled the movie channels from the analogue service. Plus with the new HD telly the picture is shocking. I've already got a sky+ box, but I only get the free channels. I miss the recording functionality of sky+

all i used to watch on sky was topgear (I've since down all of topgear) and documentaries. My mate is paying 50odd a month for the whole package inc hd, plus license fee thats nearly 70 a month for the idiot box,

You're desperate to find some HD content. You'll change provider to whomever can get you some. It's going to cost you AT LEAST 150 quid to change.

There's currently ONE HD channel available.

Picture quality on all the other channels is worse than it was before.

Bargain! :D

If you can wait Stu, I'm sure SKY will go back to the

We got Sky HD, Installed all in I think was either

Funnily enough Terry you nearly got a call when I bought the telly ;) .

Sky actually reffered me to a retailer,

Make sure you do give me a call in the future:thumbup:

Sky have announced that they are going to scrap SKY+ charge from 1st July (I guess that is the deal you referred to?), which in my opinion is long overdue. Well done for getting SKY to deal at this time of year as they are into their new fin. year!

I did the usual I can't afford it and I'm getting freeview gag. It worked out well as we only had the movies to offset the price of the + Sub (Free if you spent enough). As they waived the fee then it's allowed me to drop the package to the
