My review of a C1 is here

http://www.briskoda.net/forums/auto-tests/citroen-c1-mini-review/70644/

I liked the car a lot though I'd probably go for a Toyota Aygo out of the three versions of this car if could get a suitable deal

Drive the deal are offering a 107XS for 6500 thats 1500 off the car I know the aygo is a better car but for that price you can get a new fabia. The C1 is 6800 ish

so 107 is the cheapest.

The C1 starts at

The Aygo/C1/107 are great little cars (my other half has an Aygo)... total hoot to drive great little 3 cylinder engine that just loves to be reved.

Although a past diehard Citroen fan, a Toyota would be my choice, as your/our local citroen dealer is total pants.

I had a C1 as a loan car a couple of times. IMHO it was pants. Very plasticy and cheap on the inside.

Not sure on the Aygo or the peugot but if they are nicer interior wise it would be a start.

As someone else has said, what about a Fabia???

Fiat Punto is about the same cost as the 107, and normally comes with free insurance on the 1.2 active sport and only

Isn't the cheapest new fabia about 8k?

That's quite a big jump from 6k for a C1 if all that's needed is a small economical car.

A fiat panda starts at 7k and they are decent cars , but if you can hold off till next year the Fiat 500 comes on sale and that looks cracking

Surely the "old" shape fabias don't start at 8k do they??

They can still be bought new AFAIK.

True , I'm sure there are some still sat around in dealers and storage yards.

To be honest though , I'd much rather have an Aygo than an base model Fabia Classic 1.2

I would rather have the Fabia than a C1.

Not sure what the Aygo is like compared to the C1 though. But it wouldn't take much in the way of improving the interior quality to make it better than the C1.

A colleague has the Toyota Aygo and loves it. She thinks the handling is good and has compared it to her original mini. I find the interior a little low rent but at the price you have to expect a little of that, although why they couldn't put adjustable headrests on the front seats I don't know. It's been 100% reliable and, seeing as the oily bits are the same on the 107, I can't see any reason why that wouldn't be as well. Her husband is well over 6 feet tall and he has no problem getting comfortable in the front.

My boss drives a Prius but has had an Aygo as a loan car a few times and has also loved it.

The only downside I could really see is there's no room for the weekly shop, but as you've got another car that shouldn't be a problem.
